    Default Are 206s girl's cars??

Basically, having a look around as to who is driving 206s, be it the base model or even GTis, I have noticed that 90% of them are female. I don't have a problem with this at all, my sister even has a 206. There are probably more male GTi180 drivers around though. Thoughts/comments??

I dunno about 306s being dominantly females. It's pretty much half half from what I have seen, be it XT, XSi or GTi6.

205 GTis are mostly male, although my girlfriend has one, but I think SIs are mainly female.

Yes it is. A girlfriend of mine has one because it's cute. It is cute. It's a chick's car.

GTIs are about 50:50 male to female. 180s are all male, so far.

Doesn't mean much, just means they've done well in appealing to both sexes.

Yes, it was the very same member who started the gti6 v gti 180 thread. And why? Cos I was curious!!

Ummm, XTC, if it was such a stupid thread, why did you reply? and with such a detailed response! I am impressed. And as for my "superceded" complex? Well, duh, of course the 306 has been superceded. I'm not upset about it, it's just the way things go.

This is a silly thread, but sillyness keeps the world from being as boring as batshite.

The real issue here is not if the 206 is a chicks car, but if they are OLD people's cars!! Which by and large they aint!

However, after acquiring my beloved S16 four years ago, I suffered the indignity of realising 306s are driven by old people! This was pointed out to me several times by colleagues who constantly belittled my car, not understanding its sporting character! I even had a 50something woman i work with tell me her parents own a 306, and that I drove an old farts car! No amount of explaining could change their perceptions.

I dunno what the solution is !!??

Given that the 307 superceded the 306, you would not have anything to worry about anyway.

If she's happy to use it as daily transport I'd buy it for her , I'm yet to meet anyone male or female who'd use one of these everday, did someone say "harsh". Trust me a standard Elise is a stretch as a daily driver, I know as there's one parked in the drive right now

I don't think that's the case in the UK where hot hatches are the go. I think the more powerful/sportier ones (Golf GTI, Swift GTI, Mazda SP23, Pulsar SSS etc) are driven by males.

And why does it matter? I dunno. I was bored, I posted a question, people answered. What's the harm in that?

There is definitely a MENtality in Australia about having the boot hanging off the end of the car makes it a mans car and the hatch= female.
I don't get it, why the mans car(with one driver usually) must be bigger than the womans(with usually one driver).
Never mind. More hatches for me.
