    Default Mi16 Fuel injectors

Does anyone know the part number of the fuel injectors for the Mi16 (XU9J4Z)? I know that the approximate power limit support is 180hp. And they flow at 214cc/min. I want injectors that will support 220hp. Are there any interchangeable ones that will work with the stock engine management? Do you think 270cc/min injectors will work? What cars can i get fitting ones from? Any help is much appreciated.

    Thanks,

For my MI 16 the part no. of the injectors is 280150762 this is not a pug part no. but a Bosch no.

Go on the bosch web site, there is a shed load of info and you may find a better injector.......

Find a 4 cyl. car that has a capacity of 2.5-3.0L. Anything bigger than 214cc isn't going to work with the std. ECU. You'll need a programmable ECU to do it properly.

Generally 5cc =1hp in injector sizing, so a set of 270cc injectors would run around 215 Hp. PeterT is right about needing a programmable ECU if going on the Hp trail, as big injectors would probably make it too rich down low. If using the standard ECU, the resistance of the injectors would need to be kept the same. eg. 16 ohms
Competition injectors can be as low as 2 ohms, and as such require a much greater amount of current to be energised. These injectors will handle much higher fuel pressures, but doubling the pressure will not double the fuel output.

I know there are some BMWs that used the Bosch Motronic M1.3 engine management. I'm not sure which ones. Maybe they use bigger injectors? By the way, my car is chipped, it was programmed by this guy in Germany. The rev limiter is set to 8400rpm, but no i don't take it past 7500rpm. Maybe the chip can handle the extra fuel? I was also thinking Volvo 740 turbo injectors. A programmable ecu is really out of my budget i think. Any other input?

Try going to www.wolfems.com.au and look at the support section for a long list of injector types and their flow rates.

Have a look at this site:

    http://www.rceng.com/technical.htm

according to the calculator, you need at least 300cc/min for 220hp

What is the BSFC for the XU9J4Z?
    Maximum Injector Duty Cycle?
System fuel pressure at fuel rail?

What does that Wolf 3d engine management cost?
    Still confused
