Regular maintenaince. If the coolant isn't green, don't touch it. Otherwise, they go forever.

Always amazed to hear of people spending a "fortune" on owning an Mi16. My is bullet proof. Seriously, I can say that almost nothing ever goes wrong. When it does, I find the parts to be resonable. Story might be different if I had a mechanic is his hand in my pocket, but if you can do a few things yourself, they will be your friend for a very very long time. Happy Mi16 hunting.

    Cheers,

It can also just be a sign of age - the tierod ends will have worn in most 405s by now and the toe will vary, this will cause the outsides of the tyres to become scrubbed as much as over-driving can.

I can vouch for this. I won't say they are bullet proof but if you are willing to do a litle work yourself you'll save big $$.

I sold my Mi16 about 3 weeks ago when i moved over here, but i never had any major probs with it, it just went and went

other than regular maintinance i didnt have to spend anything on it

oh, and i'm not the mose 'economical' driver, it found the red line a lot
