504 gearchange

Before you say it, yes I searched the forum.

I'm trying to find a definitive guide on what to replace while I have the gearchange of a BA-7 out. Main reason for changing is the side-to-side motion of the main pivot is fairly knackered (lots of lateral movement) and nice rattly sounds in any gear. I'd also like to get rid of the other rattling at high revs which has always been there (could be a good thing because it makes me want to not rev the engine - sort of ) What bushes should I replace? Is it worth replacing the rods too? They seem to have nylon bushes inside their ball-holding bits (that's a technical term) - are they replaceable?
