    Default S1 Mi16 starting issue

    Hello All,

I've got an S1 Mi16 which won't start. It was fine when I last started it a couple of days ago but now it's a no go.

The fuel gauge is showing empty with the light on but I know it has over 1/2 a tank in it and was showing that when it started a couple of days ago. I have taken the line off the fuel rail and confirmed that there is no fuel getting to the injectors.

Does the Mi16 have a tach relay? What could the linkage between the fuel gauge and the no pressure issue?

I have confirmed there is fuel in the tank, have taken the sender out of the tank and confirmed lots of fuel!

    Thanks in advance

Douse it have a spark ,the tachymetric relay wont deliver fuel unless it has a spark , have you checked fuses , dont know how it is down your way but bush rats are causing major carnage to ,my cars wiring ,fuel gauge stopped working ,after removing the cluster and re soldering dry joints, i found they had built a nest in the rh kick panel ,and chewed through both the gauge and hand brake warning light wires ,,wax baits tied in the engine bay off all my cars now ,they usual y do this before winter ,trying to find somewhere to camp , dont know why now ,maybe the rain ,pugs ps ants everywhere as well ,more rain comeing

Well done. Mi16's don't have tachymetric relays. They use a normal relay to turn the pump on.

All done by software with a fuel pump output from the ECU to drive the relay.
