these don't seem to be mentioned here often, but when the right one comes up I'm probably going for it.
Feel free to give me the benefit of your full knowledge, fellows.

    Thx David
yes, diesel, which looks to have been sold less than in the picasso (?) - also less 'weirdness' quotient, but i doubt their demographics would have been all that different.
Were all AM6, any later than 2013 models (and if so - AdBlue)?
... where can one find out this sort of thing - Glass's or 'Redbook'?

No definitely was trying to be polite but every 5008 we sold turned into a tip. No adblue all rhh diesels for us anyway never seen one without Nav either. Sure there was. Less to go wrong no silly 360 cam modules and light relay boxes.

My most CONCERNING factor would be that I believe they don't have a spare wheel.
(please correct me if I'm wrong)
Must be mad buying a car in Australia without a spare wheel...

If the Picasso is anything to go by I decided to call RACQ for a flat tyre because the provided wheel-brace was going to break before getting one nut off, let alone four (the space saver could be swapped for a road wheel, at the expense of ramp-angle though).

Now I am tempted by an attractive 5008.
How bad can a petrol engine (FVA?) be?
Apparently it has just had to have its timing chain done - under warranty - and under 50 k's.
I suppose transplanting the drive train i have is ridiculously fanciful, if in character...

How would that help? No spare wheel at all (not even space saver I believe - but I'm happy to be corrected). It'll be going home on the back of a tow truck. I would never venture out of a metropolitan area without spare tyre (and good wheel brace and jack of course). If you only ever drive in the city it wouldn't be so bad...

Most early pics had spares and some of the late ones as well the wheel brave provided should be plenty to undo wheels done up to the correct torque shame they normally get done up to double.

afaik some markets mk 1 picassos had a steel real wheel, we got space-saver and kit - or aerosol, which by the time the 5008 launched was seen as acceptable.

From memory the only Picasso’s that didn’t have spares in mk 1 was the adjustable suspension ones.

You could count those air suspension Picassos out here on one hand I expect. Rarer than the petrol with AL4 (yuk) versions.

Less than $20 should buy a temporary tyre plug kit at Repco, so a DIY tyre repair is quite possible if you simply have a nail puncture and also have a pump/compressor. The lack of a spare isn't a disaster, but I do understand and share the preference for a full sized spare. When you do get a full-sized spare, PSA seems to like supplying a smaller diameter steel rim with a different tyre so that it is only ever useful as a spare and can't be rotated into use even if you wanted to. How many cars reach end of life with an unused spare still in the boot?

Imagine if I said all the Picasso’s didn’t though the magpies would be swooping.
I always liken a spare to the chain on a door it’s more of a comfort thing most drivers couldn’t change a tyre anyway
About 90% , I would say most of our trade ins spares have never be touched
Funny most people “who had to have a spare” and I quoted one from a wreck or something never followed it
