Default Rear Shocks OK for S1 205GTi ?

    Happy New Year.

I have of a pair of Bilstein B4 BNE-6814 as recommended here...
    https://www.kamracing.co.uk/manufact...oad-setup.html
They are longer than standard...their extended length eye to eye is 343mm and their compressed length is ~262mm

Standard shock length would appear to be 322mm.
S1 205 GTi how to raise rear suspension to stock height ?

    TIA.

Bin them, originals will be much better. Length won't be a problem though.

I hear you Graham and thank you... sadly I don't have originals. They were TEC ? [brand] with no oil left inside.
Thanks also for confirming length will be OK. Since posting I've removed the shock and loaded the boot with everything heavy I can find. The rubber buffer is nearly touching the arm and the bolt holes are 270mm.

oops, what I meant was my car had TEC shocks and they were stuffed.
On the upside, fitting the bilsteins and some new tyres means I can get rego, and a neglected GTi hits the road again!!
