Default 207 GT high pressure fuel pump

    Hi.
    Newbie.
Playing with a 2007 207 GT which I believe is in need of a new high pressure fuel pump..
Is this the same as the Mini Cooper fuel pump in the N18 or N14 engine.
    Thanks

    Yep, it's the N18

Does your engine start or just turn over without firing?

My 207 GTI has just begun to not start and just turns over. I think it's a fueling issue as well and need to know how I go about finding the main cause before buying in tank pump, HPFP and it turns out to be a ground point or something...

It takes a few seconds to fire but still fires and runs, idles rough and is a bugger to get going but runs quite ok while going but jerky between gear changes when the idle drops back..
been to peugeot who read it as needing the high pressure fuel pump..
just wondered if the mini cooper was the same as they are much cheaper in places,,.
but need to know if it is the same if the N14 or 18 as they are different..
Also do they need tuning when fitted or are the bolt and go..

Where ever you get it, an HP pump is expensive, so make sure it is the solution. The usual symptom is loss of power with error codes P0087: low rail pressure and P2192: O2 sensor rich at high loads.

If you'd like another opinion, a competent Peugeot mobile mechanic in Sydney is Revivemylion.
