Let's Bump this. ...any punters with suitable AM6. Swapping rather than repairing needs to suit 2.0 RHR HDI ??

Will the AM6 gearbox from a 307 hdi RHR engined wagon, fit and run in a 407 hdi RHR wagon?

Email me both vin I'll check.

In theory yes it will. Both diesel so same gear ratio and both matched to RHR 2.0 engine.

Tyre diameters? If the gear ratios match, do the diff ratios? I think 307s have 16in wheels.

Is there any reason not to replace just the valve block? There is no need to remove the gearbox to do this. That often fixes flare/slip problems, but will obviously depend on the nature of the fault you are trying to address. Commonly, it 2>3 slip when hot.

No joy on that AM6 gearbox, he had already sold it. Have to decided to wreck the car unless someone wants to buy it to repair.

We've had them a lot longer than how long you've been asking. My point is your haven't tried very hard to find one!
