Default Pug 403 Refuelled ... need some help

almost abandoned for the pass 3 years, was under rain and sun, time to inject life into the 403. Two main issues than I want to tackle is...
    1) Brake system .... mine is the standard drum for the front and rear
    a) will adding a brake booster make any difference?
    b) has anyone fitted the after market China made VH44?

    2) Oil filter ... Is there a twist version to replaced the oil filter assembly

You don't need a booster, won't cure the problems of shudder, grabbing and fade that you get from drum brakes. If you need to apply a lot of pressure to the pedal there is something wrong. The Peugeot Car Club does an exchange service converting the oil filter housing to accept later spin on filters. A big improvement, you don't have to wait for up to 5 seconds for the oil light to go off.
