Default "THE DRIVE OF YOUR LIFE", you reckon?

    Have Peugeot changed there slogan to "THE DRIVE OF YOUR LIFE"?

    <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com[img] />
<P style=[/img]
    If so, that's got to be the worst most uninspiring slogan ever i suppose the new Peugeots aren't too inspiring anyway. "Engineered to be enjoyed" sounded so much better & an appropriate slogan too.

    Surely Peugeotís marketing department could have come up with something else, thatís the type of crappy slogan you could expect of Daewoo or Hyundai. Knowing Peugeots cost cutting of late they probably out-sourced the marketing to a bunch of 1st year marketing students.

    Is it just me or do you think peugeot is just becoming very boring & the good old days of 404's,504's,205gti,505 & 405 are long gone???

    Well I always thought the 80s/early 90s FWD pugs were quite boring unless in sports version. I'd have to say one of the most dull looking hatches I've ever seen was a 205 GL. At least the R5 looked different, even if it was butt ugly .

    As for now days, well I think the 407 is certainly interesting.

    "All of its cars from the 1.1 litre 205 through the ugly duckling 309 to the 2.2 litre 505 GTi had a rightness and a righteousness about them that turned every humdrum drive into a journey. Someone, I once wrote, in the bowels of Peugeot understands handling and how a chassis should feel." - Jeremy Clarkson

    Asanka, at least it's more hard hitting than "Peugeot: the drive of someone else's life."
    or "Peugeot: can you please pick up some bread and milk if you are going for a drive to the shop."
    How about "guaranteed to get you a r**t or your ... no that's already taken.
    I could crap on for hours, but by popular demand I won't.

    Personally I prefer their slogan from the old golden age: "the Lion goes from strength to strength".

    Thats funny, I've found the opposite. Most pleb-spec 80s/90s Peugeots are usually a characterful drive whilst still being a great practical everyday car. I've owned a couple, and the 405 SRi that has been passed around the family a bit is still a fun drive.

    Climb into our 307 and you'll wonder where all the fun bits went. I know it's probably capable, but it aint fun.

    The new slogan makes me laugh.
