    Default Nice 206

Check out the pics of this 206 that was at the recent Autosalon here in Sydney.
It's not a bad start, but more bling is needed on the wheels, more doof doof in the back and it needs to be yellow!
Oh yeah, the title for this thread should have read Rice 206, sorry about that!

As long as the cars they soup up are jap boxes i dont care. The last thing I want is a stupid wrx-like cult following by moronic driving/stupid seating position/ maccas hanging out/thieving P-plater's.

Once the nobs gets onto this good thing they'll screws up my insurance cost and the beautiful piece of mind that I currently by being able to park my car in practically all places and I don't have to worry about it getting pinched.

Bad enough I have too see idiots like that on the road every day last thing I need is someone driving around a pimped up 206 gti

I think I freaked the guy driving it out, he was at Pymble on the pacific hwy waiting at lights on sunday?? sat??........ Might have something to do with me screaming "Sacrilege !!!!!!!!!!!" out the window of my cream 505 as I went by......

But hey its true who am I to knock his car?? the respray on his bonnet would pay for my car twice almost besides anything else on the car of his........

    What's to be sprayed?
    It's carbon fibre.

Ok, I'll admit that I was wrong it is carbon fibre, not a respray like *most* "I've got a black bonnet" jobs. It also means they could have bought 3 of my car's for the cost.

My intention wasn't to slander totally, although I hate the colour, just emphasise the costs involved, I can understand doing up the car making it look good, whatever flicks your switch frankly but why the expense of a CF bonnet?? I thought they were to save weight on race cars etc, and that isn't a car that will be raced, with good reason it could damage expensive good loking stuff on it. Wouldn't a redesigned bonnet in cheaper material achieve the same look? Why then an auto, etc?? Not to save money....

Sometimes I don't get the "WHY?" part, as a few else don't I think.

No need to get narky over it, I understand the lack of understanding about previous done up cars especially Peugeots, Rens, Cits on this board and that you have had first hand Andreas. And I try to be open minded to things other than what I think, sometimes I fail........ I assumed, and got it wrong. I shouldn't have assumed.

So why wouldn't you paint carbon fibre?

    few reasons

#1 it is a trend to show carbon fibre of in cars
#2 has an attarctive finish already( debatable i am sure)
#3 same reason you dont paint it on boat dashboards etc either, you spend the oney for it, why disguise it like a fibreglass or metal bonnett.

People should be allowed to do what they want with their cars...

But being an auto is a shame.
