    Default 2005 307 1.6 HDi Manual - Clutch Noise

So - the clutch bearing in my 2005 model 307 1.6 HDi manual is on its way out... After 360,000 km I'm not complaining too much, though.

    Questions for the forum:

    1. Is it easier to remove the gearbox (leaving the engine in-situ), or take both out as a single item then split them out of the car?

2a. Is it pretty much a clutch, pressure plate and flywheel change as a new set?

2.b If the clutch and pressure plate can be removed as single items, can/should the flywheel be machined?

    Kind regards,

    Ewan

Will be complaining soon you need to pull the particle filter to get one of the Bell housing bolts also do the rear main at the same time also the snout of the gearbox release bearing guide and drop the subframe and yes split in car could be worse could be a 207 and yes do all including flywheel nobody will machine it

Sorry, I was intending to be funny but I can see now it was inappropriate.
