    Default Diesel Bag Eolyis(?) 308

    Hi Pughuggers.
Can you guys tell me about this diesel bag in late model Pugs.
My daughter has a 2009 build 308 HDi. It really sluggish. I've been informed about this bags importance to the car.
I did find an older thread. Can anyone update me on current knowledge regard this stupidity.
I've loved Pugs for many years. I've owned 11. But this 308 has me stumped with things like the EGR valve and this silly bag.
Like Where do you get em from? When? How much? Who has them? Is it hard to do?

Armand, Karl and Ferdinand would be cracking up over the stupidity that automotive today?

This pic is for a C4 of that era. They are built on the same base. Look near the left rear wheel, just in front of the suspension twist beam.

Testing and resetting after filling requires a computer intervention with a Diagbox.

They last a long time and I believe there will be a message when an issue arises. Sluggish is usually not enough turbo due to vacuum issues.

Turbo vacuum. Another thing to look at. Thanks.
My 405 SRDT was a brilliant car. 78,000 kms in 11 months. Nothing done to it. A roo wrote it off.

Thanks for that. I'll check it out to see if it is empty or damaged.

The EOLYS tank and liquid is essential for the operation of the exhaust catalytic convertor (yes a cat convertor on a diesel). The liquid is occasionally injected into the fuel supply to make the cat convertor "burn off" accumulated particles. If the tank is empty or worse still missing, the cat convertor will clag up and the engine will choke/run like shit.

I thought the DPF (particle filter) was different to the catalytic converter?
