What a car... I had three of them. A light green goggle eyed one,
Just beautiful. A silver twin carb job by , then a white diesel that
did 450k and was still going when traded on a little red si. Still got
    that one.
Wonderful cars to drive. I did long for a fifth gear in the GLD.
Nothing ever broke. Replaced original front shocks with drop in
inserts. Rust could be an issue. I had all three fish oiled by an old
Pug fanatic and never had any problems. I saw a lovely orange one
recently driven by a very elderly lady, who wiped the door handle
when she got out..true devotee methinks. Aah..memories..

I've still got a T shirt commemorating the 40th anniversary. Hopefully I can get a 50th one this year. Driving mine recently I was thinking how relevant it still seems, even today. As an everyday usable minor classic of the era, is there better?

Just wanted to give plenty of notice so that the 504 owners can get them ready for this year's All French car day(s).

I did 1100 kilometres in this rally-prepped 504 injected this week. Wasn't a particularly comfortable trip, but the sound of an XN2 engine singing on the highway is joyful.

Yes, it's a blue one. Love your work. That shirt has always invoked some comments...needless to say most people don't get it

I saw a light brown/sandy coloured 504 on Saturday in Brisbane over near Coopers Plains. It had the Series 1 505 alloys like mine. Does it belong to anyone on here?

Probably the greatest 5 seater ever made. Imagine the 200kw 308 in one.
    Durable, tough, comfortable, safe, roomy.

The car Holden wished they were.

Any 504 is a pretty good thing, but I'd have to agree...a manual Ti is my preference too.

Has to be the most usable car from 1968 for potential daily use. The GLD is going to become a daily driver soon unless a nice R19/20 appears. Great economy and comfort, just needs a 5th gear.

I have it on good authority that in ancient times they built temples to lesser deities than these......... If ever there was a better cause for a mutual admiration society I don't know it!........ (Well, other than the 203 of course!)

I bought it a few years ago, has been stored since then at a mate's place in South Australia's mid-north. Hoping to take it for a spin at PAC this Sunday, if I can find a set of wheels with road tyres on them before then.

Yes. I can't remember who I bought it from now (pretty certain it was from an ad on Aussiefrogs though). I believe it enjoyed moderate success on the autocross circuit.
