    Default 15 inch rims

Does Peugeot make a 15 inch steel rim that's potentially lighter than the Oregan rim????

dunno, but why? whatcha gonna do?

besides, luca, the weight savings in regards to rims will amount to squat in road racer trim.

you thinking of chucking the gti around on the curcuit? stuff the rims, dude - just pull out the front passenger seat, back seats, boot insulation, and piff the spare wheel.

But once that is done, rotating mass reduction would help. It's more important than the wheels reduction in unsprung weight. Acceleration and braking would improve a bit if you can cut a few kilo's from the wheels, especially at the rim. Lower inertia is much goodness.

What about putting 14's on with lower profile tyres? Sure it'll throw your speedo out of whack, but if you're going racing that doesn't matter too much. It'll lower the car, and reduce the inertia and unsprung weight without costing too much.

Mate, you want some light wheels???
I was watching a western on TV and I thought. hmmmm Wooden wheels!
Wood is lighter than alloy cos it floats. Though very light, even banana's don't float. Don't make the mistake of making your wheels out of banana's! You'll be sorry Luca. I am 42 and I have been there and done that. k darling.
    There's your answer.
    I will go now.
