    Default ESP/ASR failure Warning light

    Hello,

Was driving my 2004 Peugeot 206gti 180 on a bumpy road and all of a sudden this came on. Any ideas and what where and how I can fix this? I couldn't come up with anything on the search.

    Thanks in advance

You'll need to get the car scanned as this error code is common for lots of issues. But usually a loose connection.
Has it come back on after start up again as it does tend to clear itself. ..well on the Citroen C5 b it does

Is it still on? A temporary ESP light is normal behaviour on a rough road - all it means then is there was a loss of grip on a wheel, so that ESP intervention was needed.

It stays on all of the time from starting up and initial get away. ESP button once pushed says it turns it off but once reactivated it still comes up as a failure.
Is it a failed sensor? Anyway I can diagnose it?

I managed to download a trial version of a diagnostic tool and it came up with a few errors but it doesn't go into detail obviously. I'm looking into invest into a diagnostic softwate

Check to see if any of the error codes come from the wheel ABS sensors. Google the codes with Peugeot there should be s few sites that cover all possible Peugeot codes.
Planet or PP2000 is the software plus hardware you need to diagnose snd test all functions. Beware of cheap versions. Others might be able to help with a good supplier

I would include brake (light) switch in the list of possibilities. Obviously these days the switch does a lot more than just turn the brake light on...

They are known to fail - certainly on 307s, and so I assume on other models.

    Cheers

Would this have anything to do with my interior lights not working? I've checked all fuzes and they are good. Surely it's on a different circuit. It's odd because it all stopped working at the same time. I'll check the holster make sure they are getting power.

The ABS fuse blowing would also mean your speedo doesn't work.
I would still expect to find a faulty sensor or wire to one of the wheels. The ABS sensors and plugs are easy to get at front and rear.
