Wouldn't have a stainless backing cover like the originals but certainly would do the job at that price !

These look very like the mirrors sold by Der Franzose for 404 and 504

I have them on the 404. Driver's door one is great. Passenger door one pretty useless without a fisheye reflector on it, then good

I got a set of these for my volvo 122. I then looked for a second hand set to fit as these were cheap looking, cartoony with white around mirror, smaller than original, some plastic rather than metal. They work ok but I wouldn't recommend them if your wanting quality. Still have mine somewhere.

They look similar to the r15/17 too. The base, arm and mirror look the same. Is that plastic that surrounds the mirror though?

Be careful of pirate parts, especially in mirrors. The originals are marked CIPA, missing on these pics (the original CIPAs also have plastic mirror surrounds, and plastic body interface gaskets that deteriorate over time). However, the pirate parts sometimes have flash chromed mirror cases, and poor quality diecast stems that deteriorate rapidly.

If rebuilding or maintaining a nice car, I'd say keep looking for NOS, otherwise they are probably acceptable for getting old Betsy through its next roadworthy.

They are also not identical to those on a 15/17, which usually have a curved instead of straight support stem.

Oh, surprise me, another 508 error...........

No curved stem on my R15 mirrors, in fact I cannot find ones that are the same anywhere. They have a grub screw to hold them to the door with no visible screws. Have found that some P76 and Australian Minis have similar mirrors but have the arm at the opposite end. Yet to find a new replacement. Considering R12 style ones.

Mirrors appear to be original- perhaps only on 1973 models. Have seen them on at least one 17 also.Considering Cipa made replacements as I have seen the el cheapo's corrode and not last all that long, silly to spoil a car for the sake of a few dollars [ or Euros].
