Default 403 and 403B flywheel weight difference?

    Hi!

I heard that the 403B flywheel is lighter than the one used in 403. Is that correct? How much could the weight difference be?

Yes, quite a bit lighter, don't know the difference sorry. You can get your early model one lightened.
Later early model 403s, (say 1960) may also have the lighter flywheel.

    LIGHTER FLYWHEELS

An article in TORQUE magazine , dated January 1981 , states that up to 7 pound ( approx 3.2 Kg ) can be machined from the 203 flywheel to give better acceleration . This article goes through 3 stages of 'hotting up ' the 203/403 engine .
