    Hi

MI16 came out in the uk in June 1988 & ran till 1992 with the XU9J4 aluminium engine 160 BHP
MI16x4 came out in 1989 & ran till 1992 with the 4 wheel drive system & hydraulic rear suspension, Both of these had nasty bendix hydraulic pump abs systems that go wrong & cost a fortune to fix!

Series 2 405 Mi16 came out in 1992 with the new XU10J2 cast iron engine & 155 BHP.
MI16 Le mans came out in march 1994 as a limited edition, 500 made in the uk & all diablo red with no sunroof. It had a different rear spoiler & didnt have any side impact bars or drivers airbag fitted to it, The rubbish Peugeot alarm system was fitted & the awful keypad imobiliser too, these where fitted with much better abs system which use a servo & pump.

DO your Peugeots in Oz have the same spec as uk cars?
    ie: Airbags, alarms, keypad imobilisers?

the short answer is probably no. I don't think the keypads were ever available down under.

If you're willing to part with a lot of money and had the power of the jedi knight you could approach Paul from Autoparis. His one is a nice piece of work.
