Default Identify this weber for me?

    Morning
You may have read that I am looking to improve the airbox/carb combination I have on my 504 engined 404.
I think that this carb is a dfv of sorts but it doesn't seem to have any kind of studs sticking up to attach the airbox with.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

That looks like the 32 DARA/DIR carbies used on Renaults (amongst other things, of course). You can find them on R15/17 and 12 (and perhaps other Renaults I didn't think of).

Why not going for a 32/36 DGV? Pretty much the same carby but with a square top (instead of the more restrictive oval shape) and drilled/tapped holes for air filter. Fits straight in on the bolt pattern of the carby in the picture.

There are carbies like that (oval top) with filter attachment provisions used on Alfas? I think. Try Alfasud for a start but don't hate me if that's not it.

It will go a lot better with the original Solex, tuned at great expense by the manufacturer.

    Thanks for your responses.
I'm not looking to buy his carb, its the one that's already on my car.
I'm looking to find an air filer to suit it.

I had one of these 32DIR carbies on a 505. See photo below - the standard 505 air filter and inlet duct fitted OK without modification.
