    Welcome.

The near universal belief of AFers is that these sockets were designed by Satan to maximise grief to owners with tyre trouble. We consign them to whatever nether region we can think of, and substitute plain wheel bolts. If the car is new we ask the dealer to handle this.

Getting a bolt off when the tool is damaged has a couple of solutions if you search the site; none are without pain.

If you are in Bris, you are welcome to borrow mine from the 407. I believe they are the same. I am thinking of changing mine to std wheel nuts. Just haven't got around to removing one and finding four replacements. Does anyone know the nut spec for a 2008 407?

The pins are coded to the VIN, and expensive.

After sourcing plain replacement studs (4 of) Do your darndest to CAREFULLY remove the stupid security studs. Walk to your recycling bin and chuck these useless pieces of shite and their "key" in there. Fit plain studs.

    Job done!

The laughs will go if the !@#$s don't work on a dark wet night with traffic all around. Preserve your luck and buy 4 standard wheel bolts. Save the keyed sockets for the next owner if he wants them.

Try French Connection (David or Chris) for some second hand wheel bolts.

Otherwise it looks like part number 5405.67

If you PM the last 8 numbers of the VIN number to me - I can double check that for you.

    Cheers

PS. - those Security Bolt devices can be dismantled but why would you want to when you are about to re-cycle it!
