Sounds similar to my 80k service which is the "super biggie" service (I forget what the difference is between the scheduled 60k and 80k except for the cambelt), minus the cambelt (that was done at 60k), plus the rear brake stuff which needed doing, plus a few minor tweaks, odds and ends.

5.5l Elf Synthese engine oil $82
    2l Esso BE3 gearbox oil $31
    0.5l Brake fluid $8
    Oil filter $19
    Air filter $35
    Spark plugs $34
    5l Radiator coolant $27
    Rear brake padset $51
    Both rear brake discs $187
+ little BS items like washers etc.

    Labour (4.75hr) $302

Total was $788.50. This was from Auto Paris, a well regarded French car specialist here in Melbourne; taking into account the extra cost of your indicator stalk your price sounds about right.

I wouldn't say it was good, bad or unlucky myself. Just what it costs to get the job done properly at a reputable and careful place. One quarter is for that switch, and they seem to be a weakness. There are only a few places in Perth I'd go to, and that's one of them.

I know it sounds (and feels painful) but the prices seem quite reasonable.

You could probably save some labour costs by doing the extra bits yourself but I wouldnt do it unless you had the tools, know-how and space to get it done.
