Default Cigarette lighter not working - 206 GTI 180

    Hi all

Any ideas why the cigarette lighter wouldn't be working in my 180?

I was thinking a blown fuse maybe?

I haven't checked the handbook yet to see where the fuse is located, thought I'd check here first to see if anyone else has experienced the same thing.

    Cheers

    I use one of these:

I wish I had such worries. On my 205 I have changed about 4 lighters (this is the last one I had).

My guess is they're there for décor, like most of the car and I try to focus on enjoying the rest.

    Haha!

I use the cigarette lighter as a USB charging hub and for Bluetooth connectivity.

or in the more modern parlance you might say you don't have a cigarette lighter, but a 12v power supply socket !

    Cheers

It's highly likely to be the fuse. If not, the console is easy enough to remove to investigate under the lighter itself.

I installed one of these https://www.jaycar.com.au/under-dash...ocket/p/PS2016 mounted flush to the dashboard in the flat area above the right hand air vent, next to the A pillar. With a very short ~20cm cable to the phone mount it makes it very tidy.

I've looked at the owners manual and can't find the fuse location. It's not very descriptive unless I've totally missed it!

    Any ideas?

    Cheers

    Thanks heaps SLC206.

Can't believe I missed that on the fuse list!

So my next question is, where is the best place to get a decent fuse to suit the 180?

    1. Have you actually looked to see if it's blown?
    2. Any auto store or petrol station will sell fuses.
