    Default Sydney workshop/specialist modification

    Hi All,

I'm new in this forum. I own a 2014 Peugeot 208 GTI edition 30. I've been looking at modifying the car and have a few ideas that I'd like to consult with a mechanic.

Mods i'm looking at right now:
    - ECU remap
    - Intercooler fitting
    - Oil catch can

Any recommendation of who I can consult with in Sydney?

    Thank you,
    Edwin

I would do your research on some european sites to see whats safe and worth while.

    What are the brakes like?

    Welcome!

    Looking forward to the results.

Sorry I havent taken any proper pic of the car. The two tone paint really plays around with the phone camera's exposure especially when it's in the sun. Hopefully over the weekend i can get some nicer photos

The brakes are pretty good, quite sensitive but progressive as well. Have not yet been on a track, but hopefully planning it mid next year.

I've been emailing a few Euro workshop. I've got Tunehouse and Ramspeed, not sure if anybody had any experience with these workshop before. I prefer a smaller workshop where i can have more personalised service to be honest.

    Regards,
    Edwin

The car already has an oil catch built into the camshaft cover and an intercooler. This place makes these for aftermarket fitting - Forge Motorsport I High quality performance Motorsports parts & tuning specialists

There is another thread running at present concerning another oil can.

There is a superb small workshop at Carlton but I doubt he would do remapping.

You should get to know Toy Vassallo at AP Automotive Carlton for your regular work and he can probably point you to other speciallists for your mods.

I'll contact AP Automotive and see how it goes. Carlton is so close to me as well, since i'm at Hurstville

@Seasink Catch-can already built into the car? I didn't know this.. I've emailed forged they say their standard DS3 catchcan don't fit into the 208thp engine. I'm thinking of the Airtec uprated intercooler.

    Thanks for all your responses

    Regards,
    Edwin

There might be a low bonnet problem with the Pug. I posted these a while ago. Translations in the other thread.

Oh, trying to use the search function and couldn't find the thread. Would you be able to link it for me?

    Thanks
