206 GTi auto aircon override ... Take back control!?

Can the annoying auto a/c be stopped from taking control every time I start the 206? I can't believe anyone thought this was a good idea! Is it a dealer programmable option?

I don't use aircon that often, and find I have to turn it off most days when I get in. Arrrggh.

My daughter's 206Gti had same issue.

Never resolved as it was my daughter's car as so didn't annoy me.

My 406 seems to do it as well and it's a real nuisance. There must be a way to set it so that it doesn't do a HAL all the time.

Just set it on 21/22 and ignore it.

The frustration will melt away.
