Default Gti6 bogging down and running really right h

Hi I hope someone can help me I have a GTi 6 that is running really really rich I have change the map sensor the oxygen sensor I have swapped the spark plugs and coil packs from my other gti6. I have replaced the catalytic converter with high flow unit and rear muffler in case of exhaust blockage I have swap the throttle body over from my other Peugeot. Fuel pressure is currently running at 40 psi I have also swapped over there temperature sensor . has anyone got any ideas other than this. She lacks power through the entire rev range and is especially bad on initial acceleration

When you say the temp sensor are you talking about the coolant temp sensor that goes to the ECU or the air temp sensor? Either I imagine if not working properly will cause the car to run rich, I don't recall the car bogging down though when my coolant sensor was playing up.

I replaced my coolant temp sensor (in my S16) and it didn't fix the problem I was having, turned out it was not the sensor but the plug that was the problem!

Best thing to do is read the codes from the ECU. Not sure if there is an almost no cost diy option on the GTI-6 like there is for the S16...

Yes it was the coolant temp sensor I swapped out, the computer is saying "mixture regulation auto-adaptation"

Hmm not sure but to me that sounds like a limp type mode... somethings out of spec and it is using factory preset mode rather than relying on sensors..

I did a search and turned up this Engine Check Fault 406

Vacuum leaks sound like a prime suspect!

Don't know the first thing about your engine, but if it has a dizzy, check the vacuum capsule. I found the one on my 205GTI leaked vacuum. Really sneaky.

Even if you don't have a dizzy, I know there are a few vacuum capsules on the XU10 Mi16 S2 engine, so if you have anything like that, check it.

The dizzy capsule had the membrane completely detached inside, so it was direct vacuum leak to the outside. Similar things happened to the Mi16. Both cars had a really rough idle, but on the 205 there were so many air leaks with all those hoses and crap it was a wonder the engine still ran. The dizzy capsule was actually the last one to be found and the most difficult (out of ideas and desperate I tried to suck on the vacuum tube). Effing son of a dorongo.

    Loose earth?

    Dud injector?

Could it be the cam sensor or flywheel sensor?

I haven't had time to work on the girl this week but as soon as I work through all the possibilities that have been posted I will post what the problem was.
Thanks for everyone's ideas and help 👍
