    Default Pug 205 gti.

Hello all. After much research (to no luck) to find someone in oz that will do or has done 205gti group B style body kits, i have decided to make my own. How many of you 205 enthusiasts would be interested in purchasing a full kit if i was to produce them??????

I need a front splitter with under tray made for a 405 if you're interested in doing bits for other models.

Sounds promising. As you're a new member here, (& welcome btw), any pics of what you've made with composites?

Those carbon pieces are hydro graphics, not carbon fibre at all. I am interested in making a Dimma type kit also. If it's done right it would be popular.
How will you be doing it? Have you got drawings or dimensions?

If you do a kit like the 405 T16 Pikes Peak car, I'd be interested.

Ok so further update: mould have now been made and are cooking away nicely. Now wht do i charge?????? I have seen some asking like $6000 for a 205 t16 body kit and some asking $4000 for the same kit but in other countries. The last one i seen here in oz the owner was asking $6000 for the whole kit but i think thats a little steap. With all the time to make the kits i am thinking $3500 plus postage for a full t16 kit. Custom one off kits $4500 and the ultra kit which would be the pikes special full kit thats full areo front to rear top to bottom $6500.

What do people think of those prices?

I am interested in the front 3 piece like peter. Where did you take the mould from? Also the prices you quote I can have it cheaper delivered from the UK.

Price will depend on the material used plus the quality and fitment of the parts i think. Did you make the moulds directly off a car or as individual parts? Are you using polyester or epoxy and what thickness are you aiming for?

Ok to answer a few questions the masters are made and will be made from cars to ensure correct fitment. I am using 323gm woven glass and epoxy resin with 303gel that leaves a smooth finish so very little paint prep required.
As for pricing i have allowed for shipping and variations as per customer requirements which allows me to alter price depending on what the customer wants ie materials thicknesses etc etc etc. As for quality the finished product will be of the highest quality and not some mass produced Chinese garbage.

Yes, just like Peter. But I can get a Satchel designed front end made in europe for $1000aud, its the shipping that adds another 1k to the price.

Before I commit, I need to check regulations as to what I can compete in with those panels. Hopefully as the panels were homologated it may be fine but not sure if you can have homologated panels without the 4wd running gear.

Are you thinking along the lines of the panels here as that rear section might be a huge problem to install on a standard car?

The front nose cone is cool and a great idea as 1 section but with the black splitter as something you can put on if doing a bitumen event.
