    Default 205 SI Rear Beam

Are any parts from a 92 205 SI rear beam suitable for an S3 GTI before I go to the trouble of pulling it before the shell goes to the scrap?

Im told tube is not the same as gti. I recall something about it being a different size. Shafts are the same afaik.

I've pulled it out now. For the sake of 6 nuts its was easy enough. I'll stick it under the house with the rest of the bits I've saved.

OK, http://www.miamistu.co.uk/pug/GB/205N/GROUP5.HTM may throw some light on the subject.

I think the Si might be characterised as a BVA (Auto) in this although it might be an XS which makes it 'other'.

An Si tube is fine for repairing a GTi. Whilst the very inner ID of the tube is smaller, it will still take a GTi size ARB. It only becomes an issue if you're building a race car and want to fit a monster size ARB.
