    Default 205 GTI weight

    Hi Folks,

In the book the 1.9L 205 GTI is quoted as either 880kg, OR 925kg. Some literature says the former and some the later. Does anybody know the correct weight of the series three early 90's Australian delivered cars, 880 or 925, or different again?

Oh this is a good topic! I reckon I've read one or two older threads on this, I think one even had some weigh bridge results.
A/c and power steering are factors and fuel load, it's a bit subjective.

I thought Aus delivered cars were 940. That could be with both AC and Sunroof.

Theres a weigh bridge that you will need to visit in Alexandria to weigh the car for NSW rego (i think) so you will know then!

A mates cafe is acroos the road so we can make a morning of it. He also has a 205 GTi.

Weighing your fancy car and sipping latte, come on! Why is it always somewhere else?
