I was recently in Paris and we used Uber extensively, all cars were new 508s or C5s...Great way to travel!

Probably the best Peugeot would be a brand new Hyundai. Warranty, safety, reliability, low cost. Depreciation can be written off against earnings, service would be easy and parts readily available.

I believe Uber demand all cars "in the fleet" be less than 10 years old.

I know I'd be offering you repeat business if you picked me up in a car offering comfort and rear-seat legroom - so 605 would be ideal (but just try and find one!).

So for practical reasons - a 607 (with 6 speed auto of course). However I don't think there are any diesel 607s in Oz, so have to agree with your first idea - a 407 (or 508) with 2 litre diesel engine (most economical and reliable) and 6-speed auto.

    Cheers

    Alec

Wouldn't a 407 scrape its nose constantly in the city, what with all the kerbs, speed humps, and road furniture out there?
