    yeah well i'ld keep that sort of thing to the minimum too ... wondering though what is that up where a seatbelt sash would be fixed?

    Isn't that interesting? What? you might ask.....................the engine/body number of the 1949 203 that I sold 14 years ago was 1120884. Not far off. It was imported into Australia, I presume as right hand drive, and sold through a dealer in Sydney in May 1950. I bought it for my son for his 1st birthday (he had been born at 2.03 in the afternoon) and when I gave it to him on his 18th birthday, which was the deal right from day 1, he sold it as he didn't want to drive a manual car.

    When he gat married (nearly 6 years ago and 10 years after I had sold his) he insisted that we take Carolyn's 203 to the wedding as a 203 had always been part of his life (I only drove 203s for the first 25 years of his life and really only got posh when I bouight the 604 in 1998 and it has gone backwards since then with a Berlingo van followed by a Xantia, then a 406 coupe and now the 407).
