    Default Unusual 308 Service item

Just checking through ServiceBox for the required items for my next service and I noticed the following item :

'CHECK AND CLEANING OF THE LATERAL TRAJECTORY MONITORING SENSORS'

Now I'm guessing this has something to do with the stability control, but has anyone ever acted on this ?

    Cheers

Does the vehicle have lane departure monitoring ?
Could be part of that system.

Either way it seems the description has created by the PSA engineering department weasel word generator.

Nope - only a 2009 model so that tech wasn't available then.

When I check ServiceBox I enter the VIN for the car, so I'm hoping (assuming) that I only get action items for my car - not the generic model

    Cheers

The ESP (Electronic Stability Programme) system combines a number of top quality safety functions: The Electronic Brake Force Distributor (EBFD) which distributes the pressure of the brakes over the 4 wheels, ABS which prevents them locking, ASR (traction control) which prevents skidding and Dynamic Stability Control which restores the trajectory if the brakes are applied during cornering.
    Sensors are at the wheels.
