Default late 504 brake master cylinder parts status ???

    Hi All.
Does anyone on this forum know what the current status is re getting hold of a new 'kit' for a late 504 brake master cylinder , i.e can I buy the new inner pistons, seals o rings complete or do I have to buy a whole complete unit.
I have just returned from interstate and found the fluid reservoir drained and the problem being the 'master' is the issue.
Appreciate a response from anyone 'in the know'
    Regards.

Any good Brake Place will be able to fix the master cylinder. I have used Brakes Plus in the past to restore old brake and master cylinders

I agree. Don't try to re-kit it yourself...nobody does that these days. Get it re-sleeved in stainless steel and they supply and fit a kit. Total price is roughly the same as a new one from Caravelle or EAI.

Your M/C is for a wagon which is different to a sedan...drum rear brakes !
Some years ago I was going to put a kit in my wagon. Lewin said kits were not available but no problems for a new wagon M/C.
No idea if that is still the case but worth a try.
