    Default Peugeot Fleet Sale

Hope I am not stealing anybody's thunder-but according to a gentleman working in a Peugeot Dealership mentioned to me the other day that Woolworth's have just done a deal to purchase 120 Pug's.

Hopefully with that sort of action Peugeot will get a lift in sales that has been illusive for a long time.

All those ex-fleet Peugeots flooding the market in a couple of years - that's going to drag down the resale value of our as-new super-rare used French cars

    ...

Oh wait - the value of old 2nd hand Pugs can't go negative can it? Nothing to worry about then !!!

    Cheers

May be it can, if the scrap dealers start charging to take the scrap away. Mate of mine got less that $5.00 for cleaned out 730 BMW body from a scrapie.

It cost me $50 to get a 405 body taken away last week.

Peugeot pulled out of vans some time ago-apparently.

    This MIGHT influence a return.

One of my thoughts many moons ago was to contact Peugeot & give Aussie Post & Ipec some vans for 6 months or so -Thought was to instigate orders BEFORE importing vehicles-ie pre-sell.

What were the first Post Office & Ipec's initial vehicles-203 vans.

There were other Co's that's initial vans were Pugs.

Thanks for sharing the fleet details-seems like the 120 Woolworth vehicles may have been initial order?

A few well placed ads would not go astray !

About resale value.Peugeot has long suffered the misconception of service costs etc.. Has always interested me how once a message has been accepted by someone then it takes ,let's say, a wake up call for one to receive the truth.

Glad I did due diligence before I purchased my 1st Pug -403 in 19??.

Brake hose -Holden twice the price -half the size of a 403-later on I had to wait 3 WEEKS for a part to come from Broady to Essendon yet any Pug part I ordered from Gordon @ Sim's Motors in Moonee Ponds would arrive within half a day.

So as people now become aware that is not a DRAGON-yet apparently some are saying @ Peugeot saying that the Peugeot lion is a Griffin a beast with the power of a thousand demons [from memory] they will realise that large companies [usually] do a lot of research before they spend millions and therefore they are at least looking at before they spend their hard earned $$.

I envisage higher demand & acceptance therefore greater respect for the marque and therefore higher resale product because there will be more people purchasing a product that is better than previously thought.

Interesting-did not see any 5008's on the list-Maybe the best is yet to come!
