Default Lower Engine Mount Bushing Where do I get one?

    I need a lower engine mount bushing for my 1992 1.6 205.
I've been to a couple of parts stores already and no one has a listing,
I'm just about to start hunting the bearing shops but I was hoping there is a simple source/fix...As soon as I get this done I can rego my car. Help!

    Yep, Hang on...

Steven Kay automotive in march st, I can't really vouch for him yet, I'll have to wait until I've dealt with him a bit more to make a judgement.

But, he does "look after a few older peugeots" and he was the only one out of four places who could get the bush I need...

BTW, what should I expect to pay roughly for a lower rear engine mount bushing?

Oh, both me and UNM need to know if the motor has to come out, Me 205, Him, 206.

$50 or under, here's a really cheap one.

So I assume the "one or two hundred dollars" quote he gave me includes fitting?

If he tells you his supplier, it may not be a surprise.

    Yes would have to!
It would take an hour and a half max to change it if you know what you are doing, driveshaft will have to come out, so new diff seal would be good.
Remove housing from block, then a hack saw and a decent vice will enable the bush to be changed.
$100 would be too cheap all up though so maybe he did mean just for the bush?
Ring up EAI, probably where he is getting it, and find out the proper price.

I know he wanted to fit it, he also made me bring the car down so he could "make sure it was the right part"
But I think he just wanted to see the car.
I better talk to him on monday...

Just checked that E bay part and it is for a Diesel but I'm sure the proper one could be found at a comparable price. May even be the right part.

Hmmm, The outer c/v boot on that side needs doing as well, that's ordered, should be here monday,
If that's his price for the bushing fitted I could get him to throw that on as well...

Well, just made a pointless call to the mechanic,
The "one hundred to two hundred dollars" was just a random number not any sort of quote,
they don't know if they can get the bushing at all, can't tell me until Wednesday.
And there is no point trying to book the car in, even if I source the bushing myself...
    WTF guys.

...This is why I usually do everything myself.
Gonna jump on the bike and go and see these people in person...

    ...F'n Grrr

    *EAI sez $23 plus post...

Cancel the order and buy one from the internet or EAI.
Alternatively I have a housing fitted with new bush I could sell you?

Just about to do just that, but you have a housing with a new bush? How much do you want for it?
Hang on, I'll take some pics of mine...

    There it is,
If I get the housing out, I could just get an engineering shop to press out/in the bushing...

Well I've got nearly all the way through the shell, getting to the point where I'm scared to go much further,
still won't move though, probably took about half an hour with a hacksaw...Another twenty minutes should do it...maybe.
