Any theories on how the electric motors have been engineered into the power train on this 406 spotted in Seven Hills Sydney?

Stickers perhaps? Possibly just engineered in to trickle charge the battery. The early 90's Mazda 929, and Toyota Prius iTech both had solar cells on their sunroof's. This ran the ventalation system when the car was parked in the sun. Don't think they ever generated enough juice to get the AC running though, just the fan.

No extra engineering required just put it in gear & hold the starter motor on probably with that solar panel she's all good, twice a year, for about 2 car lengths, on the flat.
