Default Peugeot 407- fog lamp issue

    Hi,

My parents 2007 407 ST HDI Exec is just starting to play up. I've fixed the brake switch recently, which fixed an ESP/ASR/Cruise control issue, but no matter what I do, I can't stop the car from displaying 'fog lamp faulty.'

So far I have checked the fog lights which are fine, checked the bulbs for damage, and checked the earths in the rear light clusters. Any tips or suggestions?

Check your owner's manual. That should have the bulb part numbers/wattage.

I used to get a similar message about once every 6-8 months on my 407. I would activate the fog lamps with the switch, then turn them off & re-start the engine. The message would then disappear. I don't know the cause, but it was so infrequent that further investigation was not a priority.

    Cheers,
    K
