    Default Stuck seat belt

Hello. I have removed the stuck inertia reel from my '02 206 Gti. New part will cost $701 RRP from local genuine dealer. Are there alternatives ( other than second hand )? It is the front right hand seat belt. Thank you in advance . . .

I'd try a bit of percussion therapy, hold unit in one hand, gentle taps with soft face hammer, roll unit around in all sorts of directions. There is a little ball which falls into or out of a slot/ramp to effect the lock up, sometimes they stick. Spray a bit of wd in, blow some compressed air in. Be very cautious if you take the unit apart, the tension spring will want to look into all the corners of your shed at once, even if you are outside!!

And some of them need to be near metal in order to roll/unroll. They have a magnet that locks them.
