    Default Stuck seat belt

Inertia reel only extends part way then locks. Tried to extend it to lock hard then release and still won't extend. Is it an easy access job? Drivers side 2 door 206Gti 2002 model. Any advice appreciated . . .

Try leaving it several hours initially, if no joy then see if the car is sitting flat.

If no go, then undo the end and let it roll in a little more.

If none of that works and you do end up needing to access the inertia reel, my ancient Rear Speaker guide should help with most of it. The front inertia reel is in the last three pics.

You have to take the rear sidewall off to get to it, and to do that you need to remove the rear seats (which is a pretty simple job). Unfortunately, that may mean a few broken plastic clips on the sidewall, but you never know!

Be careful, as there are pyrotechnic pre-tensioners on the front belts (the orange wire in the pics).
