Default The passenger rear light assembly S1 MI16

Now what the f&*k is up with that assembly???? I have it in to tight the blinker flashes at an unbelievable rate, the brake light flashes instead of the blinker, and the anti lock light comes on, i have it in too loose and the bastard falls out... have it in just right and it will either work its way out or in???
Why is it that one very minor piece of the car is so damn annoying to get working right? and plays up with the rest of the cars systems????
Any ways of fixing it for good??
    Thanks heaps...

Yes this is what I did. Clean everything well. Add another earth. Bend a few things and it's been fine since.
