    Default 206 GTI 180 remap

    Hi Guys
I'm looking into getting engine remap on my 206 GTI 180. I'm located in Melbourne (south east suburbs) and was wondering if any other 180 owners on this forum can assist me if it's really worth doing to gain some extra bhp and what to look out for, most importantly where I could this done in Melbourne area by trusted company/ what cost I could expect? Only mod I have so far is cold air induction kit but want to gain some extra power without spending too much cash at this stage, I looked into a company by the name of Poerchip Australia but I don't trust them with 9kw bhp and from 292nm gains to 220Nm torque that they claim on their website.I tried asking them more questions about the gains as they suddenly refused to do my car in the end, that's if I was gonna go ahead with the job! Any advice and suggestions would be much appreciated here as I'm seriously looking into this but don't have enough knowledge and information to go ahead?

    Thanks
    Dave

You can do it, its about $1000 for the remap.

You'll gain a little bit, but not huge. I gained about that 9kw, but i also installed a new set of cams.

Try Pat at competition systems in carrum downs. He did my car.
