    Default 306 Immobiliser/Alarm issues...

    Hi All,
The battery went flat on my (new to me) 306 Cab and now when I try to start it the hazards flash, the idiot lights come on, but she won't even turn over
Local dealer suggested I tow it in, but a fuel can and matches are currently running at the top of the options list...

ANY help would be appreciated as the RWC runs out on 26th and I've yet to even register this car or take her on a decent drive!

Please please help me as I don't think I can survive the girlfriends Daewoo for much longer HAHAHAHAHA!
    Cheers,
    Jim

I'm no expert here but it must be something to do with the alarm, as the immobiliser system doesn't care if the battery has been disconnected (or at least my GTi6 doesn't, which doesn't have the factory alarm).

Yeah it sounds like it has an aftermarket alarm system. Is there a separate remote on the keys? Or a secret hidden button somewhere that doesn't look like it should be there.

IIRC their was a switch for the factory alarm fitted somewhere near the ignition, either on the steering column or close to it, I'm positive.
