205 dash colour opinion

has anyone ever 'converted' their series 1 interior grey into black?

I have been contemplating this but want to know what others think.

Frankly I don't care what my 205 homages to, as long as it looks good in the end.... mine runs a 309 gti steering wheel which i might be having doubts about. I prefer the series 1 look in general: especially how the door card exposes some of the shell from the inside. But the grey, even when new is still a bit light.

Be careful to keep a matt finish on your dash otherwise too much reflection. Colour perhaps no matter so long as you do a great job. Ash

You could paint it. I have seen excellent results in terms of colour and sheen. When a dash is reskinned, the special vinyl they use is usually grey. They then spray it black. If you intend to have someone else do the job for you, I can recommend Pro Stitch. Expensive but great work.
