    Default 504 rear wheel bearing

We've been there before but, the right rear bearing needs replacing & getting a new bearing has been very difficult, ( the mechanic is not keen in using a s/hand one ) He has found 2 new ones in UK but is $240 each incl freight crazy money or what their really worth? I really want to get this sorted soon as Daniel is restricted with the use of the car for any long distance in case of bearing failure. cheers Dave

Sure this isn't for a 404/504 with a live rear axle?

Could be. I think the correct QH part for IRS, is QWB 292.

Nothing wrong with secondhand ones....they really do last a long time. You can buy a secondhand hub with bearing in it, but best to take apart and re-grease bearing.

    Try here:

    https://www.franzose.de/en/Peugeot/5...=wheel+bearing

I have purchased a number of items from here and the service is very good. Delivery to my door (Brisbane) is normally no more then 10 days.

I have a new 504/505 rear wheel bearing sitting on the shelf. Email/PM me if you're interested in it.

    Cheers

Hot damn ! That franzose website has rear brake compensation valves for 505s. I had almost given up (wasn't sure about what search term to use), and finally just looked in the "rear brake cylinder" section. They call em : "P 504, brake power controller".

I have also found Franzose to be very good .I have obtained a number of items for 504 cab including tail light and front lenses and door and soft top sealing rubbers . In the case of the lenses the were not available when I first ordered ,but they let me know when they were available and I ordered and received them .one of the front indicator lenses was a bit twisted and didn't sit right so I emailed back and they sent me instructions to heat it in the oven for a precise time and straighten it by hand and it worked perfectly .Now I notice the same lenses are listed as out of stock so I was lucky they contacted me at the right time
