    Default Rejuvenate model decals

Little while ago I read where somebody had rejuvenated their model decals back to a nice silver. The previous owner of my car has painted over the 505 decal and it looks awful. Could somebody help me with this please. Brian

I think I can provide a good quality one if you like.

The only way to properly do this (once the old paint is removed if needed) would be to mask around the numbers with masking tape and then use a tiny roller, carefully. Sounds very tedious

I wrote that many years ago, but although the badges looked good for a while, the thin chrome adhesive foil I used wasn't very durable.

I have just had my badges plastic chromed at a business at Castle Hill NSW. They look fantastic. I just need to paint the backing satin black to match the original look.

Any chance of giving me a ring please. Brian on 0410099797. Noticed you have the GTDs and I wanted to ask you a few questions about them. Thanks

The badges look great. How did they chrome the lettering but not the backing?

I had to paint the backing over the chrome. White Knight satin black is a good match.

I had to replace my tailgate on a silver blue 505gti- I had the repair shop to paint over the badges in body colour, then hand painted the peugeot and 505 lattering in black and the GTI in red .please don't complain about originality, it's my car and I think it looks much smarter than the old silver paint. just for the hell of it I put the spare GTI badge on the grill.after all its good enough for a VW gti.
