Hi Allan, failure is not common; you might struggle to find someone with current stock. Part number is 4601.K8 without ESP, and 4601.K9 with this feature. Both share the same bore diameter (15/16").

Sleeving might be your fastest repair option. If there is no local stock, I note Lott-Autoteile in Germany have ATE (an OEM brand) master cylinders for 91 Euro plus another 30 post - so a little over $200 to your door.

Consider at fourteen years of age, replacing all flexible hoses in the system, the rears especially are bent quite tight in radius and can start to collapse/block inside.

Have you tried EAI (European Auto Imports)?

I had to replace the master cylinder in my car at about 145,000 kms, so it happens
