Default xu9ja cam belt for no water pump.

Im going a different route with my water pump. I know I have seen someone post up details of making a cover plate for the water pump and getting a shorter cam belt.

Does anyone know the amount of teeth the cam belt should be reduced to - or the circumference of the belt?

How do you plan to tension it? Would it be more straightforward to make a dummy cover with a recycled cog on a stub shaft with bearings, for the pump area?

You use a shorter belt addo. Don't forget (im assuming the build you saw was cameron's xu9j4rs on the drivers forum?) that he used a gti6 head so belt lengths may be different. But from memory he used a ford 2.0 zetec belt 120something teeth.
