    Default 306 over reving

When I started my N3 XSI it went to maximum revs without me touching the accelerator

I then disconnected the accelerator cable same result

The throttle body is not returning to the stop

Any suggestions except replacing the whole throttle body for which Peugeot want $1600

    Thanks Rob

Don't know I can manually turn it back to the stop but when I let go it springs back to full throttle there appears to be a spring under the top of Throttle Body but its not shown as a separate part and the dealer says you have to buy the whole TB

Why not just replace with a second hand one? 1600 is way over the top

I've tried all the wreckers here in Brisbane and have emailed a couple in NSW no reply yet the only other solution is to buy a parts car there is one in VIC for $850 but if I bring another car into this yard I don't know if my manhood would survive

Have you asked Aussie Frogs sponsor French Connection if they have the part? [http://www.aussiefrogs.com/forum/french_connection.php

They send stuff all over the country and are nice to deal with :-)

Sounds like the anchor point for the spring has let go or dislodged, see if you can relocate the spring to make it return to no throttle like it should.
