Default Been a while, now have a white GTi6, no more 406 SV

Haven't been around in a while, BUT, as per the title, my 406 SV was written off due to hail, and I managed to pick myself up a bargain of a 306 GTi6. 180,000km's, owned by a diesel mechanic and has a magic motor as a result. Paint is "ok", well, a hell of a lot better than some for sale for twice the price anyways!

Better to have a magic motor than a Magic motor.

How do the SV and Gti6 compare?

I have both too. Would be nice to hear your driving opinion of both.

The 406 SV was smoother. A much more gentle ride. And while it never felt big at all, it did feel bigger than the GTi6. The GTi6 seems to be a much crankier power delivery, it trundles about, but if in the right gear it really hits home, while the 406 was a smoother power delivery. And as good as the SV handled, the GTi6 is in another world.

And the kids obviously fit better in the SV, but it doesn't really matter as my wife has a new Rav4 (which is brilliant) BUT they fit better in this than a brand new corolla. (In-laws car)

You'll have to post a few pics sometime, I think the white ones are rare. Does it have alcantra or full leather?

Speaking of comparing with a modern car, the 306 really was a great design.
